In late 2016, Fashion Fantasy Game, an online platform for fashion enthusiasts, experienced a data breach that exposed over 2.4 million user accounts. The compromised information included email addresses and passwords hashed with MD5, a hashing algorithm considered insecure. The breach was publicly reported in early 2017.
